Young Professionals Network (YPN)

Energize the Future of the Real Estate Industry

Louisiana REALTORS® YPN Advisory Council

Young professionals are the future of the real estate business. But in a field where the average age is 52, younger real estate practitioners often strive for a way to connect with each other and tap into valuable resources that will help them succeed in business.

REALTOR® Magazine launched the Young Professionals Network (YPN) in 2006 as a way to help the younger generation of REALTORS® build a stronger link with the magazine and the real estate industry, in general.

Through national networking events, a lively blog, and an information-packed Web site, REALTOR® Magazine's Young Professionals Network gives members the tools they need to advance their careers — and have fun in the process!

2024 has been quite a year for the Louisiana REALTORS® Statewide YPN! It's incredible to see how far we've come in such a short time. Remember when building a strong, statewide network was just an idea? Now, it's a reality!

We had an amazing time connecting with fellow REALTORS®, sharing ideas and planning for an even bigger and better 2025. Our First Open Advisory Board Meeting A major highlight was our first-ever Open Advisory Council Board Meeting ! We threw open the doors and invited the general membership to join us for an open discussion about the future of the statewide YPN. We heard some fantastic feedback on: The current status of the YPN Advisory Council: You told us what's working and where we can improve. Programming you're craving: From leadership development to networking events, you shared your ideas for the kind of programming that will help you thrive in 2025. This kind of open dialogue is essential to building a strong and relevant network, and we're so grateful to everyone who participated. A New Leader Takes the Helm To top it all off, we celebrated the appointment of our new YPN Advisory Council Chair, Shanna Braxton ! Shanna brings a wealth of experience, energy, and passion to the role, and we're incredibly excited to have her lead us into this next chapter. What's Next for the YPN Advisory Council?
