Louisiana REALTORS® (LR) is a member-based trade association established to assist its members in the business of real estate in Louisiana. LR represents its membership on important real estate-related issues to state and federal government, while providing legal assistance, professional development opportunities, discounts, and other unique services for its membership. Real estate licensees who join a local Member Board of REALTORS® become members of the state association and the National Association of REALTORS®.
The Association was headquartered at 4639 Bennington Avenue in Baton Rouge for 37 years until a fire in 2013 destroyed the building. A recent renovation has the offices now located in Downtown Baton Rouge at 821 Main Street near the state Capitol. In 2016, the Foundation for Historic Louisiana recognized and awarded Louisiana REALTORS® with the Bricks and Mortar Award for renovating the historic Cangelosi Home.
