As real estate professionals, we know how important insurance is for homeowners whose properties are threatened by natural disasters such as wildfires. With that said, NAR’s latest consumer guide is focused on fire damage and policy coverage. This guide explains which fire incidents are and are not covered under a standard homeowners insurance policy, what to do if a homeowner cannot secure coverage for damage from wildfires, and information on Fair Access to Insurance Requirements insurance policies.
