Flood Insurance and it's affect on the real estate market.


Louisiana REALTORS® put together a schedule of virtual and in-person sessions that aim to provide an opportunity for you to hear the latest issues that impact the real estate industry as it pertains to the NFIP program and Risk Rating 2.0.


Flood insurance has changed, and real estate professionals need to know about Risk Rating 2.0: Equity in Action. During this two-hour course, participants will learn about current NFIP stats. The new methodology will be covered in depth, and it will be helpful to know what is changing and tips you can use to help buyers and sellers like in transferring existing policies. 


Courses were FREE to attend.


Also presented was the course on the NFIP - National Flood Insurance Program for Real Estate Professionals.  This course will give an overview of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and highlight specifics as it pertains to the real estate professional. These specifics will include Louisiana flood facts, terminology, risk, zones, where to find products & resources, and Legal Considerations and Impact for Real Estate Professionals.
