"With the recent changes to our industry I

feel I could be of an asset to help assist agents and brokerage statewide to better understand how to proceed going forward with this change. Not only I would like to better educate my peers, but the general public as well. The media is full of misinformation that could be harmful

to our industry, if not corrected head on. My corporate franchise leadership has stayed at the forefront of the changes and highly educated our offices and agents on how to conduct business for the future. I have been a licensed agent since 2010 with 2 of the last years a licenced broker/owner of a franchise. I have served on my local board as a director on several occasions as well as secretary. Lori McCarthy

RAA

  • Lori's Personal Statement

"I respectfully request inclusion in the

nominations to LR’s Board of Directors for the upcoming election. As a successful Realtor for almost 20 years, and a Broker for 7 of those years, I truly understand the important role that our state BOD plays in maintaining a professional organization from the top down. This group needs to be able to listen to the issues and opportunities presented to them, logically discuss the options that are available and align as one on decisions, while keeping in mind that we represent the entire statewide organization and not our individual markets or brokerages. Real estate, as a profession, is changing everyday and we need to maintain a board comprised of both seasoned and newer Realtors so we can combine the experience and knowledge of the past with the energy from the younger generation. 2025 will bring even more changes to our industry and it is important to have educated Realtors on the BOD to assist in the decision making for our subscribers and participants.

I bring solid leadership to the table, along with a reputation for exploring both options and opportunities. With experience as both a top agent and the broker of a top brokerage, I can be trusted as a knowledgeable source to align with the members of LR’s Board of Directors.

My background includes: RAA President Elect 2014, RAA President 2015, BOD for several years, MLS Chairman, MLS committee for 5 terms, LR Board for 2 years, RAA Board of Directors for 6 years, PR Committee Chairman, Professional Standards Chairman, Political Action Trustee and member, LR Leadership graduate, YPN Mentor, RAA Leadership Mentor, Honor Society Life Member, Top Listing Agent at my company for several years and chair/member of numerous committees and task forces over the years."

Marsha McGraw-Barbera

GCLRA

  • Marsha's Personal Statement

"My involvement in my local association

started shortly after i was licensed, getting into committee work which quickly evolved into MLS work and then serving in almost every capacity at our local level. I have participated in the state association since 2014 and have been a state director since 2018 (minus this past year-I had a pretty good distraction). I am passionate about real estate and want to stay in the know about all things that affect me as an agent, my local and state market, but more importantly, my clients. I pride myself in staying involved at all levels, still maintaining a strong relationship with my clients, making sure their real estate needs are met. The people who know me know that I am a "DOER". There are those who sit on the sidelines and those who get in the game and participate. I want to participate and feel very strong about every commitment I make. My interest and involvement in LARPAC is equally strong and I appreciate the many ways it strengthens our industry. I presently serve as the Secretary-Treasurer of our state LARPAC and I am very honored to serve in any capacity needed. I would certainly appreciate your vote and support for State Director."
